Cave Tubing & Zip Lining
The island of Caye Caulker is the perfect place to visit at an affordable price in Belize. There are many ways to get here. It is possible to get to Belize City from Caye Caulker by boat, a plane ride for cave tubing, and a zipline tour. Our guide will meet and greet you as soon as you arrive in mainland Belize City. You will then head to Jaguar Paw.
Once at the outpost, you will meet your tour guides, who will issue inflatable tubes, headlamps, and life vests, followed by a quick orientation and safety briefing.
A 30-minute hike is up next, which includes:
- Wading through calming water streams.
- Trekking beneath the thick rainforest canopy on flat terrain; and
- Viewing the exotic flora and fauna that live in the area
Upon entering the caves, you’ll embark on an exhilarating journey into the mysterious Maya underworld. First, at the heart of ancient history, you’ll see crystalline stalagmites and stalactites lining the cave of Xibalba. Then, through the darkness, you will experience all the sights, sounds, and even smells that the indigenous Maya did centuries ago. (If you’re interested in an additional adventure, ask about a swim in the mini waterfall at the end.)
Then, you’ll emerge into the sunlight and float gently downstream back to the starting point.
It is then time to zipline, which will give you an aerial view of Belize’s rainforests while flying high through the canopy. The equipment area is a short walk away, and our guides will equip you with the gear you need. You will then proceed to the first platform; here is a safety briefing on braking, balance, and cable safety.
Upon safely harnessing, it’s READY SET GO – you’ll glide peacefully through the skies above western Belize, and a guide will be waiting at the next platform so you can continue along the tour.
Note: It’s best to use comfortable shoes and clothing that will air dry quickly if you don’t want to bring along a change of clothing. If you opt to bring a change of clothes, bathroom facilities and showers are provided onsite, but it will be a quick change as time doesn’t permit the leisure of a long shower. It rinses and goes! Nobody soap or rags provided. Guides may also give you the option of deciding whether you want to zip first and then cool off by doing the tubing last.
